The Gozo Film Festival returns for its eighth edition! Building on seven years of successful screenings, this year's festival runs across three days — Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd August 2026. As always, the event champions both local (Gozitan and Maltese) and international filmmakers, bringing cinematic stories to audiences of all ages.

The festival unfolds against the stunning backdrop of the Gozo Citadel's historic bastions, at the very heart of the island's capital. Expect a rich mix of indoor and outdoor events featuring acclaimed local and international short films and features, all sharing a connection to the Maltese islands — alongside hands-on workshops for kids, teens and adults.
